Founded in 1981 by dynamic students of the sixth form, The Sixers Club was the most outstanding social club in the history of St. Edward's. It's founding members were, then senior prefect, Frederick Sesay, Avril Wilson, Aziza Lyoubi6, Richard Kamara-During, Aminata Sesay, Esther Wilson, Aki Daniya, Enid Rogers and other prominent students.

The year of its foundation, Sixers Club staged a huge disco-rama at the school hall. Gate returns worth thousands of leones were donated as charity to help build new sixth form classrooms.
